My first ever blog post!

So here it goes, my FIRST EVER blog post! Some would say blogging is old school and a little outdated, but I beg to differ. Blogging for my business is just the beginning!!

I’m Megan and welcome to Megan Lampert Photography! It’s an exciting day, because my website is FINALLY going live!! I’ll admit, it’s taken a little longer than I expected, but it was worth the wait!! I guess that’s how it goes when you decide to learn how to create and launch your website yourself!  I’ve been working my business through word-of-mouth, email, Facebook and Instagram and finally decided I was ready to launch my website and begin blogging!! Eeeekkk!

Since this is my first blog post, I’d like to start with introducing myself and explaining why I’m here!

Fine art photography has always been a passion of mine. Before we had smart phones, (my friends and family can back me up here) I was always the girl running around with my camera snapping photographs, trying to capture sweet moments and memories!

And now, I’m living the dream! I am a wedding, portrait, and lifestyle natural light photographer in the heart of Virginia. I take pride in capturing your story, the very best days, and meaningful moments in your life.  I love meeting new couples, families, & friends and being a part of their life journey while hearing their stories.

I know it sounds cheesy, but I feel so privileged to witness some of life’s most precious moments unfold. While I enjoy all forms of photography, my passion is wedding photography. There’s just something about the romantic, butterflies in your stomach, beautiful emotion that I truly love to capture!

Besides being a fine art photographer, I’m also a wife to the most supportive and sweetest husband I could ever imagine calling mine! We have two sweet babies, Elliana and Bennett. My family truly means EVERYTHING to me!! I soak up and cherish every moment with my babies (just ask my husband, not even laundry or cleaning stops me, haha)!
