As the new year begins, I’m reflecting on my first full year in business as a professional photographer. I’ve been blessed to witness some of life’s most precious moments unfold. I’ve always had a love and passion for photography. Fun fact, I took photography courses in high school. I learned to developed my own film in a darkroom, which really sparked my interest for photography. I’ve always dreamed of starting my own photography business, and I’m so glad I finally took the plunge! I’ve grown so much in the last year as person, wife, mother, pediatric nurse and as a professional photographer. In all honesty, it’s been a learning curve trying to balance it all, but I wouldn’t trade any of it.
Photography has given me the opportunity to work as a part-time nurse, allowing me SO much more time at home raising my babies. You can never get that time back with your children, and I will forever be grateful for my clients and this business for giving me that priceless gift!!
This business has also allowed me to express my creative side, while witnessing and capturing so much JOY and love. I enjoy so many forms of photography, but weddings are definitely a favorite of mine to shoot. Capturing all the little details and witnessing the bride and grooms first look, are some of my favorites parts of the day. I feel very proud that my images are hanging up in so many homes and will be there for generations to come to enjoy.
I’m really looking forward to the 2020 wedding season! I’m eager to continue to grow and improve my skills. I simply cannot wait to meet more amazing couples and families.
In celebration of a wonderful year, I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from both engagement sessions and weddings in 2019!! Enjoy!
