The Dunkum clan sure knows how to have a good time!  I honestly don’t think I have ever laughed so much at a shoot before!  I’m obsessed with all of their genuine smiles and laughter throughout the shoot.  I really enjoyed my time with them at the beautiful Ivy Creek Natural Area!

Amanda and Chip are so patient and loving with their children.  I loved that they allowed them to really be themselves and enjoy the photo session.  The candid shots were my absolute favorites!  Ace and Cali are more than just adorable twins, they are walking miracles!  They were premature at birth, born at just 25 weeks gestation, weighing 1lb, 11.5oz and 1lb, 14.7 oz.  And wouldn’t you know it, today is actually World Prematurity Day!  These sweet kiddos are now thriving kindergarteners!  They rocked their family photo session!

Fun fact about me, I am a pediatric nurse who floats to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), where premature babies go following delivery.  I often take care of these precious miracles, but I don’t always get to know their stories after their hospital stay.  Although I did not take care of these two as patients in the NICU, it is really amazing to see premature twins years later, doing all kinds of amazing things!!  I could really see God shining through these kids and this family.  I am so honored and blessed they asked me to capture these images for them.  I’m so excited to share my favorites.
