Layne and Kyle are officially MARRIED! They had been dating for about 7 years, and it is very apparent they are each other’s very best friend. They had a beautiful fall elopement in Charlottesville, VA. Check out that gorgeous fall foliage! Their ceremony was originally going to take place on an overlook in the Shenandoah National Park. At the last minute, due to the high chance of rain and storms, they switched locations to a gorgeous park in Charlottesville, Chris Greene Lake Park. I think they made the right call, as the ground was wet and muddy. A hike to an overlook would have been difficult. It also started to pour rain right in the middle of their ceremony, but non-the-less it was beautiful! They got a variety of weather for their elopement, haha. It started off overcast, then we got pouring rain, and then the sun came out.
Their ceremony was short and sweet and ended with a rainbow! They popped a bottle of champagne and the celebrating began! We took some umbrella portraits, and then the rain slowed down and the sun came out! Afterwards, we headed to Ivy Creek Natural Area to give them a variety of bride and groom portraits!
Congratulations, Layne + Kyle! I hope you enjoyed your weekend getaway to DC. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!
Enjoy my favorites from their sweet elopement!
