It was such a pleasure to capture family portraits for the Yildirim family. This beautiful, hidden gem, garden was the perfect spot! The temperature was hotter than expected for April, in the upper 80’s, but we found plenty of shady spots with that beautiful filtered light- my FAVORITE!
I had been looking forward to meeting Melissa’s family. Melissa and I used to work together in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). I’ve taken a lot of portraits for other doctors and nurses on the unit throughout the years as well. It’s always so refreshing to see coworkers outside of the work environment, relaxed, having fun, laughing with their family. It’s good for the soul! That’s one thing I really love about being a photographer. What a gift it is to capture these sweet memories.
Melissa and Baris are incredibly kind and fun. The love they have for precious Ella was so abundant throughout the session. She received countless hugs, snuggles and kisses. I’m obsessed with the sweet candid shots full of so much love. Wait until you see Ella’s bright baby blues, they are to die for! She is an absolute beauty. And let’s not forget about Ella’s big brother, Atlas, and big sister, Shadow (the adorable pups). They rocked their family session too. I’m so glad we found a location where the pups could join in for family portraits as well.
Enjoy my favorites from this lovely Charlottesville garden session!
