JMU Engagement Session | Lauren + Matt | Virginia Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Matt met while attending James Madison University (JMU) as college resident advisors (RA’s) in 2016. He asked her out in November, and the rest is history! They now live in Florida and plan to reside there for the foreseeable future. Matt works for the University of North Florida. Lauren works as a marine mammal trainer for the Navy at Kings Bay Base. They both have family from Maryland and Virginia, so they have decided to have their wedding at East View Farms and Venue, right here in the Shenandoah Valley!

I was so thrilled when they planned a visit to Virginia before the wedding, so we could capture engagement portraits for them. JMU is where it all started for these two, so it was the perfect spot to celebrate their engagement and capture some photos! Matt was the Duke Dog mascot in college, so we had stop by the stadium for some photos! I’m also a JMU alumni, so I was just thrilled to visit the campus with them! Go Dukes!! They also brought along their sweet pup, Millie to join in the fun, because “her humans are getting MARRIED!!”
